I bought Torchlight 2 after watching the yogscast play the beta which is on youtube (i know the yogscast can be anoying so just turn the sound off, lol).

Also, for 14.99 and you get 2 games is a great deal. If the second game is just as good as the first then it will be a fantastic bargain.
 
I dont see what all the hype is about, I played the starter edition but thought meh. But I guess this is the case with any game, it depends on what you like. I am quite surprised at just how big a deal it is though, yeah ok, its the 3rd in the series and the last one was out ages and ages ago, so I figured there would be a big fan base, but not this big.

Isnt it the biggest preordered game this year or something?

Gonna wait for my Max Payne 3 preorder I think! :D

I have to say that the 1st act that you get access to on a guest pass isn't that representative of the gameplay imo - I found the start quite slow whereas the more you get into it, the better it becomes!

Skills, better weapons, better armour, bigger bosses = loads more fun!

It appeals the loot-hoarders, something that the majority of gamers are. It's why achievements are now so prevalent in games that don't feature loot, it's gives something for gamers to grind for. Gotta catch em all. ;)
 
I've not played it either, Blizzard tend to be pretty good about catching you up with the story though. I hadn't played Starcraft or Brood War but i've really got into the Starcraft 2 storyline just from the recaps :)

To be fair we knew this as soon as it was being developed by Rockstar rather than Remedy :p
 
Diablo 2 reminds me of this German student we had that was gagging for my ****! I was so shy and well....
 
wow thanks guys i think a trip to a games shop is in order as i have nothing to do this weekend and want to get some serious gaming in and theres no f1 this weekend lol so Diablo 3 might be the anwser as im bored of bf3 and the other games ive got
 
This is the first diablo game I've played (played 2 briefly) and the story is pretty unintelligible.

Not sure if because its my first diablo game or if the story is just unintelligible on a basic level.

If you want story, play elder scrolls...if you want to repeatedly hit things, get sucked into collecting gradually improving loot then play d3.
 
i'm highly entertained by this new diablio thing. much better name. i'm gonna call it that from now on.

and how can anyone say blizzard games have no story?! their 3 major titles have some of the most interesting stories of games i've ever played, probably just tipped by square's storylines.
