never thought changing the thermal compound could makes so much diffrence

recently my pc had been over heating cos of the hot wether so i decided to change the TIM on my gpu and cpu

so i went to pc world and the only TIM thay had was mx-2 so i gave it a try my cpu temps are down form 78c to 48c while folding and my gpu is down form 88c to 37c seems a crazy difference

I agree, i always used to use whatever paste came with the cooler but i switched to arctic silver stuff and did notice a drop, cant recommend decent TIM enough. Its got the point now that nearly every member of my family with a desktop has had a TIM upgrade, instead of taking rubbers and rohypnol on a night out now i rome the streets with a tube of arctic silver and coretemp on a flash drive looking for geeky women lmao

I still think AS5 offers the best bang for buck performance, taking ease of application into account too.
