So, I grabbed this in the sale on steam not long ago and I've decided this is the next game to play!

Can anyone recommend some essential mods for this?

I've never played NWN before.

I believe there is a pretty serious lord of the rings mod for it.

Dont know more than that sorry.

Get the Mask of the Betrayer expansion, it's got a much improved story\characters.

I'm mainly after graphics improvement etc first but anything that makes the game better overall I would like.

Just play throught the vanilla game first, then mask expansion, then the other free roaming one that I cant remember the name of. It's not a bad game at all really, despite the regulation annoying thief character

You can import an NWN2 character or create a new one, IIRC. It follows on from the original's ending.

Neeshka seemed to be a badly done attempt at incorporating Annah from Planescape Torment

NWN 1 and 2 don't come anywhere near BG in terms of storyline.

Found NWN2 to be atrocious, to be honest. Really liked the first one (world got a bit "samey" after a while) but the second one....all kinds of bad. I tried playing it in co-op with the missus (we've played tons of RPG's together) and it was binned after a few hours of play

The combat sucks, but it's worth having for MOTB alone, IMO.

Ok I finally got my class made, I still dont understand half of it and I really dont get these 1D5 numbers etc but im ignoring it for now.
The character creation process wore me out... I just got into the game and im too tired to play it

Long day at work I guess. I'll try again tomorrow ^^

Nope, never. It just looked like a good rpg game...

Sigh im at work at the weekend again so I'll probably be too tired to play tonight too
