Hi all, just purchased Neverwinter Nights + Shadows Of Undertide second hand, I go to install it and it will nto accept the original NWN CD Key, but using the expansion pack one works with both the Original install, and the expansion, but now when I go to play it it asks for the Expansion CD Key in game, and I input it, press enter and it asks for it again, and again, and again.... Help please :(

By different directory, would a change such as

C:\Program Files\Never

over the original

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN

Be enough?

Ok installed it to C:\Program Files\Atari\Never

Now it accepts the Expansion pack key for the original game, but when I enter either the expansion pack key, or original key for the expansion instalation it tells me its invalid

Dont quote me but...

I seem to remember registering my key with Bioware? would that mean nobody else could isntall and use my key? might be what you're experiencing?

That was for their forums if I remember correctly. Well, its not so much the forums, but more your bioware account. I don't think it stops anyone else registering your CD key for a single player game, and its not a requirement that you do so when you install. I think it got you perks like extra forum avatars, support, wallpapers and stuff.

Sadly no, as it does not check online if they key is used in the past or not, it just says it is invalid, when it is the keys that the shop provided me with :(

Just been reading a few reviews of this product, turns out that the expansion key is for the original, and the original key is for the expansion, and the reason I cant get my cd key to work is because D O and 0 look identicle, as to R and A, so Im going to have to work out all the possible combinations and try them all untill I found out which letters belong where :(

WooHoo Finaly got it installed correctly... Just now when Im playing it seems to be running at super speed, I click to move somewhere, and im there, no walking nothing just Boom, and the characters move stupidly fast.... Any ideas?

it's probably an option somewhere. Doesnt sound like it could be a graphics error. I'd google it for you but i'm at work and the IT department will come downstairs and spank me publically if i try to look at anything game related.

Check the afformentioned Bioware forums. They have a great community and there's probably something about it on there.

Here you go:

the main bit that stood out was
In the 1.67 patch for NWN support has been added to allow you to specify which core NWN should run on (which should fix this issue for people).

To make the game run on only one CPU do the following:
1) Shut down Neverwinter Nights.
2) Browse to the folder where you installed Neverwinter Nights (where nwmain.exe resides).
3) Find and open the file nwnplayer.ini.
4) Look for the option "Client CPU Affinity" under the [Game Options] heading. If the option isn't there, then add it under the [Game Options] heading.
5) Change the entry
Client CPU Affinity=-1
to
Client CPU Affinity=0
6) Save the changes.
7) Start up Neverwinter Nights.

The issue should now be fixed.

If I was you, just incase that doenst work.. Just scan the forum.
