Looks very nice from what I've read so far it's single player/co-op mmo and you are able to create your own dungeons/content and put them into the world

Its a MMO :(

Ok...I'll pass this one.

Doesnt seem to be an MMO, at least not in the same sense as WOW. Think it's more the sort of thing that encourages you get a few friends together and play through :), although still has the single-player functionality if you really want.

Jack Emmert: I wouldn't say MMORPG at all--Neverwinter is a cooperative RPG. You can play with a bunch of friends and experience Neverwinter and D&D in a brand-new way. We're trying to create new sorts of games that we call "OMGs" (online multiplayer games).

I think it's quite a good concept, the co-op showings from the earlier games werent really that polished, so it made it sometimes a pain when trying to play the campaign with my gf. As far as I can tell, this is just orientated towards that co-operative style first and foremost. Might be nice to finally be able to play a Neverwinter game with her that actually has that focus.

I'm just wary of MMO-style fees..

Ok so its not a mmo...its just a singleplayer AND coop rpg, so its just like nwn 1 and 2.

Beats me why people are using the term mmo unless you can get hundreds in a server.

It is a mmo in that their will be a monthly charge and will be updated like a mmo. And the co-op will be probably be like find someone online as in walk up to them if u see em and invite em to ur team and u can do the story together.

Hmm i could be wrong on a few things if they havent officially announced a sub service for it but i think it will probably turn out that way due to cryptic doing mmo's only atm and the engine used is a mmo engine.

Hardly surprising really had it stayed with Bioware / Obsidian It likely would have developed into an MMO as well.
