Hi all,

My veteran machine (10years+) is feeling a little outdated. Would someone be able to spec me a machine with a budget of £750? 1080p gaming is ideal.

Function over form if possible, doesn't need to be beautiful.

For £90 the LG 24mr400-b is decent option for 1080p

the only other suggestion i would have is to consider the RX7600 for an extra £50: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sapp...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-02y-am.html
the RX7600 is about 25-30% faster than the RX6600, and comparable with the 4060
if you're keeping your computers that long, the 7600 would have more mileage than the 6600, but both are valid choices nonetheless

alternatively, if you're not averse to going preowned, the 3060ti/6700xt/6750xt can all be had around £250
these are a full performance tier above the RX6600 and offer a 40-50% performance advantage

I'd consider going up to 1440P even if it means you've to make sacrifices elsewhere.

Can +1 for the RX6600. I recently threw together an ITX build for travelling and using the rx6600 GPU has been way better than I imagined. It really is a gem for 1080p

12400F and 5600 are nearly identical and the price should be more or less the same.
