New 1080ti question

hi,

I have a new 1080ti and at this time it’s paired with a 24” 1080p monitor as I will upgrade in the near future.

What’s happening is that all my games are being capped at 60fps even though this card will produce significantly more frames. It’s a 60hz screen so wondered if that’s the problem.

Doing the Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark test shows FPS of signifiantly higher but in game is fixed to 60fps.

What’s going on?

Thanks

Cheers in game or in the Nvidia control panel?

One may override the other, so best to do both, although if you exceed your display's refresh rate, you will probably get tearing, and personally I cannot stand that.

Apparently it doesn't seem to bother some people.

U might also be able to squeeze a little more out of the monitor my dell used to clock up to 85hz using a custom res
