Looking for some advice here as I'm a bit out of touch with monitor tech. I'm currently using a 120HZ 1080p 24" screen, playing games like PUBG, Battlefield One and COD WW2. I'm interested in upgrading to a 1440p screen but not sure on a few things. My rig is running an Nvidia 1070 with an i7-3770k (I may upgrade to a new Ryzen rig in the next few months if I need to) with a modest overclock. For PUBG with most settings on max I get 70-100 FPS.

I have 3 questions really:
  • Will my current rig be ok for decent FPS (60+) at 1440p.
  • How important is GSync ? I like the idea of 144Hz plus monitor (not sure I could go back to 60Hz), will GSync make much of a difference, I don't really get any tearing on my current setup ?
  • I'm keen to run dual screen with my old monitor (using just the new one for gaming). Are there any issues at having a monitor at 1080P @120Hz and one at 1440p @144Hz running at the same time ?
Finally, if anyone has some recommendations for monitors happy to see them (no budget really, although not sure if I can justify forking out £700+ for the top end displays)

probably. (i'm using a 3770k @ 4.4, with a 1080ti, 1440p @ 75hz - no problems)

don't know about this 2, sorry
i don't use adaptive sync (gsync) although other forum members who uses it feel it's worth the upgrade
