Hi there
My son would like a new monitor for Xmas this year. He currently has this one:
AOC 24G2U5 being run by a GTX1660 super

Ive been looking at these but cant decide between them:
Gigabyte G27Q £230
Gigabyte M27Q £199
Gigabyte M27Q v2 £250

I know the differences between them regarding spec but cant decide. RTINGS has the G27Q as the better gaming monitor and a lot of reviews have the M27Q v1 as the better option.

What do people think or is there a better option for under £250 which has 1440p, IPS and min of 144hz.

Thanks

The Dell G2724D is always a good option and will probably come on offer again soon.

There is the Asus Strix XG27ACS which has had good reviews

and might be worth keeping an eye out for the Gigabyte M27QA if it is available below £250

Didnt OCUK Have a great deal on a really nice LG Monitor with those specs recently?

here ya go : https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-2...-widescreen-gaming-monitor-mon-lgc-02150.html

Looks like its still on preorder at that price.

I recently bought a MSI one which i believe uses that same panel for similar price. The picture quality is superb. I bought it as a support monitor for my 34" Benq UW IPS 1440p monitor but i would be happy to game on the MSI one with no problems at all in my opinion.

Generally he plays a veriety of games like, Borderlands 3, COD etc. Single player and multi with COD.
Mini LED monitors can be had for around your price point, which are good for HDR single player games. Check the dimming zones, as some aren't much better than other LED counterparts.
