New 1700 CPU temp monitor issue.

Hey guys,

I have just finished installing my new Ryzen 1700 CPU. The issue I'm having is I cannot get the temperature to display on MSI afterburner?

Should I do a clean install with a new CPU? Seems to be running fine?

Or can anyone advise me on some software for temps or AMD etc..?

Issue guys..

When I try and install a temp monitor, it is showing the load on the CPU and temps for like GPU SSD etc.. but no CPU?

Any ideas..?

Msi Afterburner go to Settings theb Monitoring and check what is ticked.

strange...there is no option to tick for the CPU temp? only the useage/load?

WTF? just downloaded and it says when I go to open it "this processor is not supported".??

Should I do a fresh windows 10 install??

i havent done this since the transplant, but it works ok so didnt think i need to...?

cheers micky ! seems to got all the vitals displaying, was confused as my BIOS was showing the temps and fan speed etc...

Just quickly should I reformat anyway, seen as hows its a new mobo and CPU transplant?

hey, i just done a fresh install of windows 10 and im still getting the same issue with the temperature being only readable on the RYZEN MASTER software. Could this be a motherboard issue / fault?

No, i think its the software not being AM4 compatable.

Try Hwmonitor or aida64 (free version of either should be fine, definitely Hwmonitor at least). Will give you decent vitals on pretty much every system component (inc voltages). Damn sure they've both been updated for Ryzen.

Yeah, managed to get HWM going. Getting good temps now for a stock cpu cooler!

So its just purely a case of utils haven't caught up yet for the new AMD platform?
