New (& 1st) PC build. Advice needed please..

Stulid - I think I will go for the Gigabyte, just for the extra slots incase more ram is needed in future.

I want to sincerely thank you all for your advice, especially Stulid. When I posted on here for help i had not expected to get all the answers in the same evening!

No doubt I will be on here again with more questions soon enough.

You're almost always better off waiting until you have enough for everything in one go. Prices fluctuate wildly, and you might find yourself paying £100 for something now, that will only be £70 - £80 in a couple of months time. Postage costs are another consideration, not to mention your warranty. If you need to return anything, DSR is your friend, and you lose that by buying in bits.

I had considered though that while some components may well drop in price in coming weeks and months, there may be others that are on special offer right now that I should snap up.

Of course i have no idea what to expect as I dont follow the trends with pricing on these things so I shall probably wait until next month and buy as much as I can in one go.

I can't buy everything from the one site though as about £200 of my budget is for a particular site (with a rainforest inspired name) so will have to buy half my stuff from that.
