Hi,

I'm looking to spend around £80-£90 on some 2.1 speakers for my pc. I listen to mainly pop punk (new found glory etc.), some heavier stuff (slipknot) and acoustic stuff. I would also use these for gaming and watching movies (mainly gaming and music though).

I currently have some microlab fc360's. i wasn't sure if i should stick with a 2.1 setup or a 2.0 - any recommendations based on what I use them for based on the above would be great!

I've seen a few recommendations on here but unfortunately i cant find them in the uk (e.g. Klipsch ProMedia 2.1). And I dont like the looks of the harman kardons :(

Thanks,
Simon

Question- are you using your current speakers with any half-decent DAC or sound card?

If you are using only onboard sound, then your existing speaker might not even be performing to the best it could, nevermind better speakers as well.

I don't there are many 2.1 options available at that price range, other than the soundsticks (but as you said you don't like them).

I guess may be you should try and see if your luck on finding 2nd hand Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1?

2nd hand Corsair SP2500 would probably be around £100, but due to it size, I think most sellers would prefer collection.
