New 2 the forum please help

I Recently installed a new hard drive and made it the C Drive but now i want to format the old one and cant says

windows was unable to complete the format

im very new to this forum and not very educated in theses areas

Would really appreciate the help

if i have posted in the wrong thread please let me know

If you've installed Windows on that drive then Windows won't be able to format it as it's in use.

If you want to reinstall Windows then you need to boot of the Windows CD and you can format it from there.
