Hi guys I was thinking about getting the*asus*Rampage IV formula and the I7 4930k? As it could be a while until the x99/haswell-E appears

Is this a good mobo or would you recommend something else

Hi, also consider a Asus x79 DLX+4820K very good mobo and the 4820K[see sig] is a better OC than a 4930K, you can always upgrade later.

Thanks that cpu is probably a better option along with the black edition

Hi, do you really need the black edition the Asus x79 DLX is just as capable of overclocking the 4930K.

One forum member has his 4930k at 4.8 on this mobo, at the end of the day your overclock depends on the CPU lottery.

Put the money you save towards a custom loop for CPU+GPU or towards Haswell-E.

The black edition does look good but the deluxe is cheaper and feature rich also so might just get that
