Hi :p

Ive been building my Own PC's for around 6 years now and I decided it was time to upgrade from my Q6600. After about 3 - 4 months of solid research I decided to wait for Sandy Bridge, so around Christmas I started buying parts and finally ended up with the CPU and Motherboard last Saturday when I got paid. Spec is as follows:

Core i7 2600k
Gigabyte P67a-ud7
Corsair Vengance 8gb
Corsair H70
2 x OCZ Vertex 2e 60gb
2 x Western Digital Black 1tb
Nvidia GTX 280 & 8800gts 512*
Corsair HX850
Samsung Blu-ray Drive
Silverstone FT02

*I intend on 2 580's or 570's and I needed to use the 8800 to run 3 monitors.

I don't really have any images of the PSU, case or hard drives as I just got them and placed the into storage whilst I waited for the main parts arrive but I do have the following:

I then drove down to Overclockers in Stoke on Monday just gone to buy a Benq XL2410T monitor and 2 white CCFL's.

I tried to take some pics of the inside as it looks so much better in person but I am stuck with my Iphone Camera.

Anyway, CPU has been overclocked to around 4.6ghz stable, I managed to get it to 5.1 but the system wouldn't stay stable for long enough to take screen shots while running any tests. Temperature wise it runs idle around 30c and up to 65c under load which I'm happy with, the FT02 cooling is epic!

And here are all my drives:

Second blu-ray drive is a virtual one and I run a server with 2 x 2tb storage drives and the 3rd drive is a mates server connected using hamachi VPN.

I will be installing 2 580's or 570's end of this month when the wallet says I can :D

Peace Out.

Please leave a line between your photos so they stack vertically rather than horizontally, much easier to view, or at least a max of 3/4 per line
Nice build BTW

Nice parts!

Feel like explaining the concept of a second blu-ray drive as virtual? o.O

Also, get the Phantom nVidia's - Black and Gold would match beautifully!

Thankyou :D
Its just awkward scrolling both horizontally and vertically, I wrote the pls leave line bit before reading whole post, then saw you asked if they wanted changing anyway, lol

Thanks guys! Day after I got this setup I read about the chipset issue which is a pain but we will see what happens in april with a replacement. Feeling the black + gold approach, will have to consider them when it comes to the time.

Thankyou :D

No Worries ;)

Virtual drive is for the lack of discs when I run some of my games. I do have them I just cba to look for the CD/DVD's, I had all of the serial numbers on a notepad file so I just install them off there and run an downloaded mini image using the virtual drive. Win

Hmm, quite a clever idea indeed! :)

the ud3 is doing the same work as the ud7

you should have put the money in a new vga.

I wanted the extra LAN port and the nf200 chip, and the missing heat sink on the ud3 mainboard where said chip should be doesn't quite cut it for me, o and the ud3 doesn't support sli iirc

New VGA next month ;)

Benefits of a storage server my friend :)

Yeh Ive been looking at them but I need a card that exhausts air out the back of the case to go in the FT02. I don't think they would do so well with keeping heat in the case as I only have one extract fan and thats the CPU cooler (H70) lol
