I thought the mobo was good value!? Was going to pick up a p67 pro for 150 before?

just buy the P67 mobo and rubbish ATI gpu.

otherwise you should get the non-K cpu.

Can you explain the benefits for a p67 over h67? I want another pc I can keep for 6 years like my old AMD 3200xp and nfs2 that just died :(

Couldn't help myself. For an extra 20 I've got a 5570...thanks for the help guys!! Order this tomorrow.. In the future I plan to spend 400 on a gpu and 200 on a ssd.. This will do till then.. I've already got the Lian li x500, cm 850w psu and lite on blu ray writer.. Can finally use the stuff now! Not sure how I'm gonna recover the data from my raid 0 in my old pc.. I've got a psu light but no mobo led light :(

you have the 4650 in your listed basket, and honestly, if its not going to be your main graphics card, then get a cheap nasty one to get you up and running, and then chuck it in a desk draw when your main card turns up, so if you ever have any suspected problems, you have a backup to test with.

Was the idea but.. Im going to wait for the next round of nvidia gpu's.. At which case.. It's best to get something average? 20 quid is not the end of the world tbh

so at the same time you may as well drop down to a 2600cpu without the "K", as the k cpu's differ by having an unlocked multiplier for overclocking, which you cant do with a H67 motherboard anyway.

they also differ by the 'K' having twice as much on board GPU power!
Dirty tactics from Intel: "buy the K, as it is overclockable AND has better onboard GFX, but you can't use both on the same motherboard until Z68 boards come out"

+1

I'd go for the i5 2500k over the i7 if I were you - save yourself £60'ish and have almost identical gaming performance.

As for the SATA issues, if you only connect SATAIII devices then there is no issue - problem only affects SATAII. So as others have said, buy now and swap later... extended extended warranty ;)
