Budget is £500 or so. Within this do I:

Stump up the extra for a Benq SW270C, which gets glowing reviews and also has 100% Adobe RGB coverage but is a 2k monitor

Go for a 4k monitor which will have 100% sRGB but then limited Adobe RGB colour space

It will be for used for photography and not video. No gaming or film viewing. I do have a calibrator and I do print

Just in case it affects it, will probably upgrade my Canon 7d ii to an R5 next year . Essentially I'm trying to tap into people's experiences of what is the most important of the specs when choosing a monitor for photography processing

AdobeRGB gamut is feature of high end panels, so might not get even 60Hz one for £500.

But price of that BenQ would likely give one.
Look for these.
Acer ConceptD CM3 CM3271K
AOC U28G2XU/BK
Lenovo ThinkVision P27u-10
Philips Momentum 279M1RV
ViewSonic VP2785-4K

Many thanks for providing those alternatives. Will do some more online research.
