New 27" monitor - £500~

I'm in the market for a new IPS panel to replace my LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B 27-Inch QHD.

I do game a bit but mostly use the monitor for work - video editing/streaming and the like.

I'm not too up on current technology but I seem to remember when I was buying before that the LG listed above was highly sought after and regarded as one of the best for the price.

I think I'll stick to 27" although could go up to about a 32" if there's a cracking offer.

I recently got a MSI MAG 274QRF for under £200. You can still get them everywhere at that early BF price. IPS, 1440p, 180hz, KVM. I bought it as a second monitor but it's ridiculously good for that price.

Out of interest, is the MSI MAG 274QRF likely to be better than my current LG?

I'm looking to get a new one so my son can have the old one basically, but if it's not much better, maybe I'll reduce the budget and just let him have the new one.
