New 27"+ monitor required.

Hi,

I'm looking for a new monitor.

A few details;

  • It has too be 27" or bigger.
  • Won't be used for gaming.
  • Will be used for CAD, and the like design programs.
  • General word processing and browsing.
  • Must be future proof

I've been looking at 1440p although I've never seen anything at this high of resolution. Would you still recommend this over 1080p for what I would be using it for?

The ones I've seen at 1440p are;

Samsung S27B971D 27" Matte Widescreen Ultra Thin LED Professional PLS Monitor
Hazro HZ27WB 10-Bit 27" LED Widescreen Professional Monitor
Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27" Widescreen LED Monitor

As for ones at 1080p I have no ideas!

What does everyone think?

The Dell is too risky at the moment as there are a lot of users suffering from backlight bleed in the lower left corner.

The Samsung is stunning.

Or there is the Asus PB278 which is very good indeed and I think has the same panel as the Samsung.

Yeah, I was concerned about the issues with the dell.
I never even saw the Asus but I ended up ordering the Samsung with the matte screen over the weekend to get the discounted price on it.
