Hi,

I currently have a SyncMaster 225MW. I'm looking to get something better at 27".
I have my PC connected through DVI and PS3 through HDMI.
I would probably prefer the new screen to have hdmi and dvi since my pc seems to have issue with connection through hdmi cable. The screen ends up displaying a low resolution and it doesn't fit the screen.

Any way could someone help with finding a good 27", prob 2ms response. 1080p. no 3D. maybe scart but not too important. O and only samsung or sony.
price max is £450ish!

Thanks.

Out of the 12 or so monitors & TV's I have access to 2 of them have broke and they were Samsung's, the only 2 Samsung's I've owned. To be fair they fixed the TV for free a few years out of warranty

Out of the hundreds of monitors I've tested or owned there has been a pretty even failure spread really. I certainly wouldn't limit yourself just to Samsung for your monitors. Although they are one of my personal preferred manufacturers at the moment they are not inherently more reliable products and really their customer service, although good, isn't really comparison to the Rollys Royce service given by Dell. You say you have no desire for 3D, which is fair enough, but what is your system like and what do you want the monitor for specifically? Maybe you could benefit from a 120Hz model. Given your budget and current prices you have a fair bit of flexibility really.

Ive just got the samsung s27a750d, im stil playing about with the settings but my early impressions are very good and i think its a keeper

my pc is an 2.66GHz i5, Radeon HD 5770, 4GB RAM. and a PS3 so yea 3D if inside my budget with still a good spec TV would be good.
Haven't looked up about the freq yet but assuming 120Hz is good and wouldn't be bad in anyway!

On a side note, when I connect my pc with a HDMI-HDMI cable the resolution goes to 1080 but my tv max is 1050 and so it's displayed wrong. I'm hoping with a new 1080 screen this won't happen? Then I can get a tv with 2xHDMI.

Thanks for the help guys.
