Hello, im just after a new rad, ive had the 2 same ones for over 10 years so i dunno what i need to order, im using a triple and a single 120mmx60mm atm, with 3/4 " tygon tubing and barbs.

I wanna swap the single for a double as ive freed up a little more space in my case for one. I've had a look on the site, all the rads look very thin, i don't know if thats just the perspective or if they are thinner nowadays.

My old rads came with barbs but there was only one sort of barb back then so im guessing now they come without so people can choose which they want?

Could anyone reccommend a cheap rad and barbs to save me getting confused plz :)

Cheers.

If you can afford it, the Black Ice Nemesis 240GTX is one of the best rads out there. At low-mid RPMs, the XSPC RX V3 is very good also. Both are ~60mm thick (do note all the dimensions to be sure they will fit). The barbs you need will depend on if you are still intending to go with the 3/4" Tygon, in which case 3/4" barbs with the now standard G/14 threading will be what you need.

You've not seen 1/2" x 3/4" soft tubing before? I'd dare say it's the most popular tubing size for watercooling too, irrespective of if that's justified or not.

In the OP's case, he has 3/4" ID tubing I think. There are some fittings that match that also, but very rare. Easier to get new tubing and fittings in a smaller size.

In 11 years of water cooling I have honestly only seen somebody use 3/4" tube once circa 2005, and that actually was garden hose. The biggest that seems to be common these days is 1/2" with 3/8" being the most popular.
