Hi Guys, my father in law is finally ready to let his 7 year old athlon system retire.
He uses his system for his book keeping, programing taxi meters and general internet an IM. Got 2 systems in mind and will be ordering tonight.
Just asking for your thoughts if you think i3 is worth the premium?

probably the AMD system, but that offer on the ram ends soon. so buy quickly.

yes i will be ordering tonight. He isnt interested in overclocking. And I hear the i3 uses far less power?

wattage is near the bottom, does the quad core advantage in some of those graphs swing it?

i was looking at that yesterday but i seem to remember reading on here that these results show the amd in a bad light due to old apps? But the i3 draws nearly half the power but has better performance in most apps except video editing ( due to the 4 cores)
If someone can confirm this its amd in the basket
