I'm after a new 34" monitor for work during the day, and some casual gaming at night (WoW / CS2).

I like a clean and minimal desk setup, and have a windows PC for work, alongside my personal desktop machine. I like the idea of a monitor with a KVM built in to keep things clean and tidy, and to make it easy to switch between the two.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

What's your budget?

Do you prefer flat or curved?

My suggestion is this curved QD-OLED from MSI, because of the good image quality:

MSI 34" MAG 341CQP QD-OLED 3440x1440 175Hz 0.03ms A-Sync Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor, Now Reduced to £648.95

Your other options at OCUK:

But is QD-OLED a good choice for work/office use?

I like the look of that MSI you kindly linked to but burn-in using it 8 hours a day for work worries me.

Equally great for work/office use.

People worry too much about burn-in, it shouldn't be an issue. The monitor has MSI OLED Care 2.0 which provides a range of screen protection optimization mechanisms, (Pixel Shift, Panel Protect, Static Screen Detection). I believe it also comes with MSI's 3-Year Burn-In Warranty (per manufacturer site).

Cheers, that's reassuring thanks

That monitor does look really good, definitely a better gaming monitor, than productivity though. Not sure that it has KVM either.

Here's RTINGS review. (Generally seen as the go-to site for monitors reviews).

Here's it's take on office use.

"The MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED is good for office use, but there are some limitations. Its ultrawide screen provides plenty of screen space to multitask, and it has fantastic reflection handling, which is useful if you want to use it in a well-lit room. However, it has text clarity issues due to its subpixel layout, and there's color fringing around windows. It also risks permanent burn-in when exposed to the same static elements over time, which can be problematic with taskbars and icons on the screen all day."

as mentioned above it will depend on your use case. I think with the burn in warranty's now available an oled would be ok for office use and then really good for gaming. The other side would be to go flat ips 34' which would be good for office and ok for gaming
