My 360 got the 3 red lights. I was going to send it off to be repaired but my mate told me to bring it into the shop where I bought it and he would replace it with a new one (even though I got it over a year ago)

anyway got it home with my old HDD connected and I can't play any of my Live Arcade games. they are all still there but it's the trial versions, says i need to unlock the full game.

do i need to fully delete the game and re-download? (when I re-download without deleting first it stays as the trial version)

The live arcade games are linked to your GamerTag. To play the full versions you'll need to recover your old gamertag and sign into xbox live.

That's the problem with swapping xbox, as you'll now always have to sign in to play them as it's not the same xbox you downloaded them to.

i've had 3 xbox's and never have had to redownload to activate the games, you just got to be signed to LIVE otherwise they stay in trial mode when not signed in

it is bloody annoying :(

though i have heard you can contact microsoft about it to transfer your licence or somethin over to the new console so you dont need to be signed into Live, though you need the serial number from your old console i think??

I've deleted and re-downloaded, nothings working.
i called Microsoft and they want proof of exchange sent to them.
why do they make things so blooming awkward, i don't know.
