Purchasing some new parts over the Black Friday period to build a new gaming rig after coming from a laptop. I already have a True 120 Extreme for the i7.

Spec look ok?

i7-4790K
Z97X-UD5H-BK
HyperX Savage Red (2x8GB) 2400MHz
Gigabyte GTX970 G1
M4 256GB - Win 7 (from laptop)
MX100 512GB - Games
Corsair 450D
Creative Sound Blaster Z
SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W or 750W or EVGA G2

Also looking at the P2414H monitor but that will have to wait a few weeks.

Wont get far without the PSU!!

Have added to the op but was considering the SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W or 750W.

Thanks Stulid. 750W will be plenty then by the time I added a couple of 2TBs and if I go sli down the line?

Yes it is enough.

The EVGA G2 750W PSU is the same exact unit (minus the glowing connectors on the unit), same price but with a 10yr VS 5yr warranty.

I have been reading lots over the last 24 hours and prefer the EVGA without leds but reviews say the EVGA fan is a ball bearing but the SF is a fluid bearing and I was thinking reliability ..

Only things I can see wrong is your True cooler maybe too wide and could interfere with the top PCI-E slot where the GFX card goes.

Should you want SLI will those cards still be available? you can buy them now..but for how long.

I have the backplate for the true that allows it to mount either way so I should be ok. If not I will get by on stock for a few weeks then get a AIO.

I don't think I will need SLI as 24" 1080P will do for me but I was just speccing slightly more than needed incase further down the line.

Thanks for the advice, it's over 2 years since I dabbled in building rigs..
