new 4850 heatsinks ?

Now it says on the box 4850 1GB and in gpu-z aswell but why is the cooler different, Are the big round coolers better than the slim versions ?

I bought the EAH 4870 and in the picture on OCUK it shown a full fascia cooler but when arrived it had a pretty big golden heat-sink. Not a problem though the temps are well below 50 idling with 20% fan speed.
