Hi guys

We have some amazing new high capacity drives landing with us shortly. We have the 5400 RPM 4TB, yes, 4TB drive arriving tomorrow. This drive is ideal for any PC which needs to hold a large amount of data. Ideal for music/movies etc.

We also have the faster of the two drives arriving, but at a slightly later date of the 12th March for the 7200 RPM version, still in a 4TB flavour. This high capacity drive would be ideal as a main OS drive for any PC which requires a vast storage capacity. This drive can reliably read up to 125 Megabytes per second and write at up to 120 Megabytes per second.

Also note that these drive are fully retail packaged too. :)

Hmm, probably going to need one of these when I get FTTC.

What benefit if any would I see with the buffer difference?
This would be a media storage drive.

I'd rather buy 2x 3tb for the same price, always the way with the biggest drives though.

I don't know why seagate doesn't make 4 & 5tb drives with their 1tb platters.

These look amazing! Seem like a good value purchase (at the moment) for high storage needs as well considering quite a few lower storage HDDs are around 25% more expensive per GB.

I'll buy a large drive (2/3tb+ once they're back down at about £40/tb)

WD 2TB Green's (WD20EARX) can be found for under £100, occasionally at £90 on offer, and I've spotted Seagate 2TB Barracuda Green's for £84 (all OEM).

So not far off the £40/TB mark, but prices are slipping back down very slowly. I doubt they'll reach their previous values - I paid £55 for my WD20EARX about a week before the floods. :D

I first looked and thought it was a USB or NAS drive, but a 4tb drive! nice :D

But bank balance says no :(

Holy big hard disk Batman!

Smidge on the pricey side but for what you get... wow! I have 4.5TB in my system as it is across 4 drives so I could almost combine everything in to one with this (not going to though I like having 4 drives).

Stoner81.

WANTS :o but pricey >_< I would get one if the floods hadn't ruined the prices but I can manage for now with what I have, not buying any hdd unless I absolutely have no choice at current post flood prices.
