I’m looking to buy a new TV. I’m thinking an OLED would be best. I’ve a budget of up to £2000. Any suggestions please?

I’d have to measure it to make sure it will fit.

Definitely do so, £2000 can buy you a lot of TV so unless you've some sort of aesthetic reason for a smaller TV I'd opt for the largest you can fit into your space from a size/budget standpoint.

If you're coming from an older TV that's 40-55" hold in mind that they often have very large bezels around the screens compared to modern TV's.

So I’ve just measured it and 65” will fit.

I don't suppose you have a Costco membership? If so they're one of the best places to buy from for warranty, 5 years and they don't detract usage against replacement value.

Otherwise:

LG C5: https://www.richersounds.com/lg-oled65c56lb/ (£1279 at checkout when using the code RSTV220)

Philips 65OLED909: https://www.richersounds.com/philips-65oled909/ (£1599)

I'd be oggling those two personally, Phillips actually has a "100 day trial" at the moment where you can get your money back if you're not happy with the TV, I also really like the ambilight/backlight feature they come with.

You can get some good deals closer to £700 on OLED's if you'd rather save for various units, and it does depend on usage to an extent.

Both of those look good. How about the Panasonic Z95B?

From what little I've read it's almost perfect, Panasonic used to actually pre-calibrate their high end TV's years ago but I don't think that's the case anymore (in fairness it may not be as necessary with modern OLED's, and it's not exactly a good marketing niche for the layman).

They are quite chonky/thick due to the built in audio system, some people prefer a slimmer screen that's more flush to the wall or would rather have an external soundbar or AVR setup.

From what I gather it boils down to the following with high end OLED's with the main three:

LG: No nonsense, excellent screen with as far as I can tell the best overall connectivity features.
Phillips: Ambilight - aka reactive backlighting, personally I absolutely love it. Also has a built in 3.1 audio system vs the 2.2 of the C5, and of course the aforementioned 100 day trial/money back.
Panasonic: Chonky but amazing TV, comes with built in 5.1.2 which easily makes it the best choice if you want good sound without a soundbar or AVR.

They've all got their niches tbh, people tend to blanket recommend the C5 and don't get me wrong it's a fantastic choice, but there's absolutely good reasons to go for other OLED's at the price point.

Difference in apps and UI? Last time I compared Panasonic to lg the Panasonic menu are basic limited apps and not great media player and Lan functions

There are some but I'm not clued into it, from what I understand Panasonic stepped up in that regard but I've always felt it a bit of a weak argument. I can understand why someone wouldn't want to have bulky audio equipment around to improve their experience, but if I was putting down a couple of grand on a TV I'd not give a toss about built in apps, I'd be using a third party item like a Firestick 4K Max or NV Shield or something instead.
