Hi guys currently just finished my new build which is

5950x
2080 (till 3090 arrives)
Asus crosshair viii hero
Trident z neo 64gb 3600
1000w psu

so I finished the build last night and booted it and installed windows and made it to my desktop , at this point I was using a spare 970 I had laying around everything was perfectly fine seen as it was late I left it for the night

it come to next day and I got round to adding my 2080 and a extra hdd I launched the system again and everything was going perfect untill all of a Sudden the screen froze and I couldn’t get it to do anything as if it got locked up. So I shut the system down and re booted but when it booted this time I was greeted with q code 95 which is pci bus request resources and the white light on motherboard as well which show VGA, I tired a few more times to boot it but all to the same result , had no displays and m&k didn’t light up

Now I tired a few things like changing the pcie slot still the same
I also oc the ram to 3600 but it worked perfectly fine before

tomorrow i will be swapping out my 970 to see if the gpu is the issue which I can’t see it been as I was using it 30 mins before on my old system

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This probs sound like a dumb question but how would I go about doing that ?
Yoy need to go into the motherboard bios adavanced settings pcie configaration , check tou manual.

The gtx 2080 are you using 2 seperate power cables or just one faisy changed ?

Did you update your motherboard bios ?

See I got my motherboard from
***elsewhere*** as a bundle and they should have put the latest bios , but even still before I swapped out and put my 2080 the system work fine but I’ll check tonight

im powering my 2080 off one cable with two 8pin connectors on that cable

I’ll see if I can get into the bios tonight after I’ve swapped the gpu

I can get you some picture later if that will help and I’ll check the bios version as well

When I boot the pc the q code given is 95 which is bus request resource so from my understanding does that mean it asking for more power ?

and I will try that with the cables and get back to you

I appreciate the response!
Is the bundle overclocked ?

Mite be best to contact them also they may have come across this problem before.

Lets us know how you get on.

the bundle isn’t oc at the time I got it I don’t think they had any oc available, the only thing that has a oc is the ram which is supposed to be 3600 anyway

I’m going to try them things first and if all else fails I’ll contact them

so I have a small update what I tested

I put 2 separate cable on my 2080 did the same

I tired both cards 970 and 2080 and got the same result

I put both gpu back in my old rig and fired up perfectly fine

so I’m gonna check bios see if it up today

Should I try with just to stick of ram ?

or should I rma the motherboard ?

Try the 2nd gpu slot on the motherboard ?

Check bios version make sure its not a beta bios.

Then either call them or rma .

BIOS flash back to the latest non-beta BIOS, remove all non required components when you are first retrying it.

Assume you have a USB drive to do this?
