New 5950X Install. Cant load into Windows

Just installed my new 5950X on the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero.

Updated the BIOS and have done a fresh install of Windows.

As soon as Windows try to load it says There is an issue with my Devices and needs to go into recovery mode.

The same system was working fine with the 3950X

Any ideas why this is happening?

Have you tried running your ram at 2133? There's been a few reports of 5xxx cpus being picky with ram

Sorted it.

Thats a new one. I've not seen that before.

obviously bios related. The update might have resolved some compatibility with your hardware.

I had the same, dropped my 5950x to replace a earlier 3 series and thought it would just be a straight replacement but my system it was very unstable. A complete reinstall of Windows seems to have solved it.
