Which of the following 64GB kits (2x32) would be best for Ryzen 3900 series? I will actually be buying 4900 series (or whatever they end up calling it) in a couple of months but I assume it will be using the same DDR4?

Gigabyte Designare DDR4-3200MHz CL16-18-18-38
Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL18-22-22-42

Primary use is for an editing & 3D simulation workstation, occasional gaming but not much.

The Gigabyte is actually NZ$80 (44 euro) more expensive... not a deciding factor considering the cost of the rig.

One thing I noticed is that it seems to be very difficult to find higher capacity dimms like 32 GB that don't have slow latency timings... not sure if that's a limitation of ram design or something...

I'm also looking for 32GB, (2x16) which will be suitable for the forthcoming zen 3. Cheapest currently would be 3200MHz for around £100, or around £150 for 3600MHz. Is that extra £50 going to be worth it? What sort of performance improvements will I see?

How much extra performance to you see from 4000 MHz compared to 3200 MHz? Seems very expensive, better value to put the extra cash on better GPU, CPU or even faster storage?

Do 16gb let alone 32gb dimms actually exist for speeds above 3600Mhz, I can't see them which is why I have 4 x 8gb of 4400mhz for the 32gb I need.

As for whether it's faster I have infinity fabric running at 1900 Mhz so it does provide some improvement - whether it's actual noticeable I can't say as I can't remember what it was like with the slower memory
