Hi all

After getting these new cards my PC will not boot only with my old 5870 does it start up.

I've noticed that when ever I've change the two around 6950s to a 5870 my bios resets so that there is no Hard drive displayed etc

Tried both the 6950s on there own still no joy.

Any help would be great thank you.

Ok here you go.

asus p6x58d-e Mobo
12GB Kingston ddr3
Antec 1000 watt PSU
DX Xonar SC
i7 950 CPU
Hazro 27B

Am sure I read in the Hazro thread about some people getting reboots when monitor connected. Long shot, but maybe check in monitor section.

Boot with your old card in place and go to device manager, display adapter and uninstall the 5870. Physically remove the 5870 and put one 6950 in the same slot. Let windows install generic drivers and then install the latest Amd drivers, voila. This has worked for me in the past. Good luck.:)

Hi again

It has happen again now pc will not boot after Cmos or anything i try.

I flashed it and it was still working fine.

Should i RMA? and will the fact that there was problems right from first install be ok even before a flash.

Does a flashed 6950 void an RMA.

Ok Cheers

One more thing if they can't get both cards not from OC to boot up at all can they still find out if it was a bad flash or just the cards being faulty.

To be honest I'm not sure if it was the flash or the cards in the first place.
