Hi there,

I've got a brand new "Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM" and it seems to be very clicky and loud. I google'd it and found some folk with the same complaint, but apparently this is normal.

The problem is i initially had problems installing XP kept crashing with 39mins to go, however, it is now installed. I thought it was a broken HD due to how loud it was. Anyways i've run the "SeaTools Desktop" utility from the Seagate website and it failed the test, the log is on the link below:

I don't know if this is normal or if i should send the drive back?

I'm running chkdsk through windows just now so i'll see what it says.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Hi gamesaregood,

I did run the seagate tool as shown in my post above.

You must all be right, the drive is "borked" (that a technical term lol) so i'm gonna sort out sending it back tomorrow.

Thanks for all the advice :)
