New 8800GT in Vista and fullscreen gaming

Hi I've installed my new 8800GT 512 and it's excellent. Problem is, I'm trying to play one of my all time favorite games - Rollercoaster Tycoon - and it will not work in fullscreen mode like it did with my previous Radeon X800XL.

The game starts up in windowed mode, and when I try to select a fullscreen resolution from within the game settings, the game window just flashes and the selected goes back to windowed mode. I've tried changing the resolution scaling in the nVidia control panel to nVidia scaling, from monitor scaling, but this didn't affect the game. I have also tried using Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode without success.

Can anyone offer a solution to get my game working in fullscreen mode again?

Thanks,

Michael.

EDIT - I've finally managed to get the game to run in fullscreen mode using Windows 95 compatibility mode, but I now cannot load any of my saved games. Clicking on the icon to do so just dumps me straight back to my desktop without any error message. I know it isn't a problem with the game as it worked perfectly with my X800XL. It also dumps me back to the desktop whenever I try to save a game I am playing. Any suggestions?
