This came out on 20th apparently, and there are rumours of increased PPD over at http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=14999. I don't know if there's any truth to them yet though.

In other news, I really should enable automatic restart after BSoD. Had one yesterday lunchtime and didn't get back til today :( presumably temperature related, given the timing. Gotta keep an eye on things :(

It seems to be working as expected on mine (7, x64) but I'm not seeing any increase in PPD. I changed it just after I'd started doing a WU though so it's possible effects may be seen come the next WU *hopes*. Won't know for hours though as it's a P6701 :(

I started a fresh unit yesterday and it hasn't downloaded a new version of the core, or at least HFM isnt reporting a new version

I've got a dammed P6701 as well, even with my new quad they're taking me 22 hours to fold, however 4k ppd is a lot nicer than 1.5k on them. Best I've had was P6025 with 6.9ppd :D

You have to stop processing, rename FahCore_a3.exe to FahCore_a3.exe.old then start Folding and it will download the new core.
