New Acer 1916w Buzzing

I have now worked out that its something to do with the brightness.
If I change the settings to ''Graphics'' the buzzing stops. This setting has the brightness in the 90's, lowering it to the 80's or lower causes the buzzing sound to return.
Anyone know about this kind of problem?

Since getting a new quieter psu I've noticed one of the monitors has a buzzing sound. Just tried changing the setting as you have and its stopped!
custom, text, internet and game all make the noise. Change to sport or movie and its silent again, which is weird.
Not as weird as the fact that the other screen has exactly the same settings yet makes no buzzing sound
Movie and sport are much brighter too.
edit: No idea what its about though. Changed brightness to 92 from 60 on 'custom' which was my chosen setting and it stops the buzz.

Ive Googled it and came up with different things that cause it.
Noisy power unit, resonation from the back light at certain brightness levels, noisy psu.
But nothing to say whether its a fault or a common thing. My last monitor was a CRT and didn't make a sound at all. So just wondering if this is to be expected from a LCD.
I have contacted Acer to ask if it is a fault.
Be good to know if anyone else has the same symptoms and what can be done about it.

sent my back and got a refund bought an LG 226 few months later
