Hi, y'all!

I'm a little confused here about FreeSync vs FreeSync 2. The new Acer Nitro series is said to have HDR 400, but are only certified as 'normal' FreeSync. Is this on purpose, or does it make the monitor 'poorer' as opposed to it having the 2 version?

Could someone explain this to me in simple terms? Thanks! <3

Btw, monitors in question: https://bit.ly/2qoYUS5

Thanks for reply! I've read that, but it still puzzles me that these monitors are not FreeSync 2, as they seem to tick all the boxes. Could it be latency? Sorry to be nit-picking, but I'm trying to learn. :)

There could be a few reasons if it seems to tick all the boxes that would be Freesync 2:
1) It is actually Freesync 2 but not labelled
2) Something falls slightly outside the spec (and this could be anything even a small thing in the spec)

Realistically, as long as the features YOU want and need, I wouldnt be too worried, as always there are revisions of specs along the line :)
