I have been with BeThere for over a year and used there provided Bebox for the last 14 months but the wifi died on me. So I dug out my Netgear DGN2000 which I had used previously. Although the Netgear wasnt great at all. I got mine when it first came out and it last a few days and was replaced due to one of the ports melting.
The second one kept loosing connection and was replaced too.
This is the third and is fine except the wifi is very intermittent. My laptop and phone are struggling to connect and stay connected. I have updated firmware, and reset to default then redone all information. Its fine on ethernet but rubbish on Wifi.
So it looks like I need to replace it. Its been rubbish so I do not wish to buy another Netgear. My old Dlink last 5 years of rock solid connections. But when I look around at the moment, there doesnt appear to be a stand out obvious replacement choice. No King of the Hill.
I bought my brother a Netgear 834 and because of its rock solid performance I bought the DGN2000, but it was pants.
So.
What do people recommend these days?
