Current D-Link has gone a bit **** up. Keeps losing the connection and I can't get into the web interface to change any settings.

So I'm after a new wireless modem/router but was wondering if there's anything to look out for feature wise regarding futureproofing over the next year or so. Or are they all pretty much of a muchness these days.

Any particular recommendations?

I was about to post the same thread Desmo (except I don't have wireless at the moment) but I was wondering what I should go for

Just get one that is known to be OK with ADSL2 and supports "G" WLAN. There might even be some with gigabit switches inbuilt now.

Depends on your internet connection - if it's ADSL, then as Jez said, it might be a good idea to look for one that does ADSL2+ (though it'll be a while before there's a BT deployment of it, so maybe not - bit of a "yes but no but yes but no" thing :p).
If it's cable, then there's not much coming that any router now shouldn't be able to handle (other than it being fast enough to handle whatever connection you have).

Wireless is a bit up in the air with 802.11n in the pipeline. Might be worth considering separate router and wireless AP if you want to stay on the most modern kit?

OK, think that pretty much sorts out all my Q's. Cheers guys :)
I'm happy with g speeds on the wireless at the moment so that's all fine. I was just checking up on the ADSL/2/+ stuff really as it was all just plain old ADSL when I got my current kit :)
