New ADSL router

Been looking at getting another router, but can't decide between these two

Can get both for roughly same price and both seem have same features

I would got ASUS personally.

But TP-Link do make some good products.

I'm in the same boat, and have been considering the Asus N66U.

Would need a modem though, and have read a lot about problems with the firmware. Is it still necessary to flash to Merlin? Perhaps the N55U doesn't have these issues?
