My 6800Ultra has died on me so I need a new AGP card. Problem is my PSU isn't the greatest, I only have 14amps on the 12volt rail so no chance of the X1950 Pro. That doesn't bother me as I don't really game that much on the PC anymore. Really I just need a new graphics card for basic PC stuff, the most extreme thing would be watching HD Video. I would also need it to be able to run a secondary display. I have no idea what card I should be looking at these days that doesn't require a lot of power to run it. 6800GS? 7800GS? 7600GT? Those possible?

What make is the Ultra - you should look to RMA it if possible. As for a suitable card, almost anything over £50 would do you. OcUK are currently selling off 6800GS's that basically unlock to 6800GT's. They're pretty decent value but I'm absolutely horrified how "slow" it is compared to my 8800GTS SLi set-up. The difference is almost 9000 3D '06 Marks!

My card was a PNY, I contacted them using the support form on their UK website but haven't heard anything back so far. So £70 on a 6800GS is the best option? Again the gaming performance isn't a big deal to me, I just want something that can run Windows and play HD video and not need more than 14 amps on the 12 volt rail...

That card isn't AGP, but there is a Gainward 7600GT AGP on the site that will set me back over £100. Reading up though it has said the card needs 18amps on the 12 volt rail, so I don't think I can even get that... :(
