Beyond fans: AirJet's radical CPU cooling chips can double laptop performance
Startup Frore Systems is working with Intel on developing the AirJet, a chip that actually cools your laptop's processor far better than a fan.

It's all about laptops, but it's claimed that the tech is scalable and could be used on higher power processors. The "can double performance" thing is for grabbing attention, the claim being that it's so much more effective at cooling than normal laptop cooling that laptop CPUs can remain in the highest possible boost state indefinitely. Which might be as much as double the clock speed in a badly cooled laptop, maybe one with the air intake mostly blocked. Allegedly, working prototypes exist in an advanced stage, significant development has already occurred, extensive testing has already been done and the product will be on the market in less than a year. 1750 Pa at 24 dBA from a cooler 2.8mm thick.
