New akasa 859 problems

Just received my akasa 859 CPU cooler. PC has been on for approx 30 mins temps no differant from stock cooler. even ramping it up to 4000+ rpm temps don't lower, any ideas? Idle 40C same as stock cooler. Another question, why does core temp/speed fan register 10C hotter than my motherboard bios health status.

Removed the side cover and now temps dropped to 33 idle. Guess this means poor air flow, any hint on improving airflow?

tidy wires and fans

wires are pretty tidy, can anyone give me advice on case fans? Case has side and rear vents where would fans be best placed?

The back I would probroubly say.... Best advice is upgrade your case I just got an ANTEC 900 Case, 2 huge fans at front, 1 at back and 1 top of case. It took 16c from my system temp..
