Have got the AKG K712 and mod mic and can recommend the combination. Headphones sound great and friends can hear me loud and clear on teamspeak.

Got my K712 on a Rainforest WH deal for £112, were like new. I use with the vMODA Boom Pro as I like inline volume control and not having cables everywhere.

Funny the K702 appears here. Just a few months ago, some kind folks over on the sound section of the forums recommended I get them (from a competitor ofc, since OCUK didn't have them back then). They've been great, despite what foks have said, I don't even need to use the DAC with it and it works well on various devices, not just the PC. Only downside is comfort (AKA I can't fall asleep in them). The one thing I miss about the HyperX Cloud...

The AKG K702 chinese version headbands are irritating after a few minutes putting them on if you have a skinhead haircut or shaven head. I'm going to mod my headband with some foam and velcro or something else?
