New AMD mobo with 8 SATA reqd - HELP!

Hi

Need to upgrade my MOBO as my needs for HDs risen to 8 SATA, 1 IDE HD and
1 IDE DVD Burner

Due to cost issues, need to reuse my AM2+ processor and 2x2GB dual channel ram.

So, I NEED
- 8 Sata ports - each to be used and NOT raid
Minimum of 10 USB ports
1 x firewire
1 x serial

Form factor not an issue but ability to o/c somewhat is.

Lastly, as it sits on my desk 300mm from my head, I'd like to be able to control my fans to minimise noise.

Looking on Overclockers there are very few AMD boards with 8 SATA ports. Cheapest I could see is this one and you're very unlikely to get a serial port on a modern motherboard:

If your existing motherboard has everything you need apart from enough SATA ports then why not just add one of these:

At some point you just have to stop re-using those old small HDDs and just bin them . Or am I missing the point? How can you 'need' 9 HDDs???

As above - just add an extra controller.
