In testing, we actually found better overclocking and stability - particularly with memory dividers and memory overclocking. We tested all the Gigabyte boards with a range of CPUs and RAM and found them to be the better option with regard to offering our customers the best service, compatibility, value for money and stability.

Yuck!.............
..............those Gigabyte boards are skanky!

I hope your thorough performance and stability testing extended to a greater level of technical prowess and maturity than your post portrays.

Correct me if im wrong here AndyOcUK but i thought Pii 920's only had a ddr2 mem controller and could not fit into a AM3 mobo with DDR3 Mem

Your're right there m8 - I set them all up at once, many screens open at once = **** up. Thanks for pointing it out. Changed it for the 720 Black - 1 core less than the X4's but better performance in most cases ;) = more bang for your buck.

Thanks again m8 ;)

I fail to see how I have attacked OcUk. For one I appreciate OcUk very much for low prices and shipping to where I live. Also I was posting my opinion about the Gigabyte motherboards since I expect this is the reason for having a discussion board? To discuss about these sort of things?

Point taken but you need to tone it down a bit. You wade in on my thread telling me my bundles are rubbish using words like "Skanky" and "Yuck". Seriously, what kind of reaction did you expect? There was nothing debate worthy or constructive about your post, it was just a blatant slagging.

In your next reply you listed a competitor.

Yuck! Where are the decent boards like the ASUS M4A79T Deluxe and the MSI 790FX-GD70 or MSI 790GX-GD65.
Sorry, but those Gigabyte boards are skanky!

Come on....

I think my comments were fair enough when taking the tone of your 1st post into account.

No worries.

Just for your info. When we put a bundle together, we are guaranteeing compatibility, stability and performance to the customer - we therefore MUST deliver this.

Bundles are put together so that our less tech savvy customers can experience hassle free computing with all the pains of choosing parts removed for them.

Performance in this particular sector isn't the be all - end all , its about great performance with everything working hassle free.

Our more technically aware customers rarely would buy one of our bundles for this reason. They already know what the best board for a particular CPU is and have no qualms in speccing compatible memory and HSFs. There are exceptions, for example, the i7 bundles like the BIOSTAR, which clocked like mad when we benched it - we used the same parts in the bundle because we knew they worked well together, and many seasoned overclockers bought the bundle based on our testing, benchmarking and advice.

In testing the Gigabyte proved the best all rounder when focusing on the best balance between performance/ stability/ value for money and compatibility.

;)
