New AMD price cuts

so have the price cuts taken effect on overclockers yet?

prices dont seem no different to me :/

Not yet.

I don't think we would ever get the same deal here in the UK. I think a smaller price cuts will happen, but at the end of the day, if it goes in to the profit margin for existing stock, then we will not see any discounts for a long period of time...until retailers/e-tailors sells their existing stock.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail £187.99 inc VAT

Its happened.

Bit pricey still, seen them for just over £150 elsewhere. I was almost tempted, removes the need for any overclock by me and has the 1mb L2. Still just gonna wait for Barcelona though.

Do the AMD X2s not clock very well then?

You can usually get them to 2.8ghz pretty easy, 3ghz is also quite frequent with newer ones too.
The 6000's are pretty much clocked near the limit of what the chips will do...

I meant just the X2's in general, I never see them hitting overclocks much higher than that? Maybe 3.1ghz on air, or around that. Can't have much legroom left in the 90nm cores?
