Yay for the return of the Athlon! :)

I've read that they re-instated the ability to run mutliple cores at different voltages and speeds that they removed in the Phenom II - but this time they're gonna make sure it's implemented correctly. So if you have an old motherboard that no longer receives BIOS updates, you'd have to run these without Cool 'N Quiet enabled in order to get maximum performance, which is kinda rubbish. :/

it was around 45'c but that was on water

they are just like the phenoms, they dont like heat at all [hence the low voltage i used to get 4ghz]

i ran 32m wPrime and it got to just under 50'c

please note - the reason the screenie is rejected is because i was using a Beta BIOS from asus in order to run the TWKR chip

also the 240 is not valid on the database yet [well that was the reason i got emailed to me]

So what do you reckon I could get using air cooling in a normal Coolermaster 335 case. I'm running a 7850 x2 @ 3.0ghz atm is it worth upgrading?

tbh the water i used was only equivalent in performance to a titan fenrir

you would get similar temperatures using one of them [or similar]
