How do you know if your memory OC fails due to temps and not bad modules? How often does that happen?

the prices are designed to offer no added cost to the customer. if you purchased the ram blocks and the modules together, you essentially get the Tech Labs assembly service free of charge.

memory overclocking failures can be down to a number of factors. heat is generally second to a weak IMC or a poor overclock setting.

Whilst these modules are not guaranteed past the rated settings by us, most 1600mhz modules are not actually speed binned by the vendors due to the cost involved.

essentially, having active cooling on your modules eliminates the factor of heat causing the memory to fail the OC.

It isnt 100% required for 1600mhz memory as DDR3 is pretty cool running. however, for people overclocking 2000mhz+ it is certainly a good idea

Will there be other memory options to come as the current ram avaliable seems to be a bit poor seeing as its c11 and only 1600mhz. Were they chosen as they did not come with heat sinks as standard making installation easier?

they were the first ones to put live as they are actually one of our best selling memory skus

the fact they dont have heatspreaders already is just a bonus.

I am putting more live as we speak.

some Avexir has just gone live.

i will be adding faster binned modules later as well as different block options using the EK blocks.
