I have a Sony zx1 compact. It hadn't updated in 6 months or so before this big update to android.
After the update, if I'm browsing the Web and press the power button to turn off the screen, when I press it again the screen is black with the home buttons showing. I have to press home and then launch my browser again to get back to using my browser.
More annoying is my alarm does a similar thing. Alarm goes off, Phone lights up and it just shows my home screen with no clock or anything on it so there is no snooze or slide to stop alarm. I've found out I can stop the alarm from the notification bar.
Finally the volume by default now changes media volume not ring volume. Previously it would change the volume of whatever was making sound. Further more previously I press a volume key to change the volume and onscreen I could expand the volume bar to change different volumes e.g alarm without going to settings. The new android version doesn't have that, it has a link to settings and no expandable volume menu.
Why have these small changes been made? Who at android looked at this and thought this was an improvement!? I can't actually see what else has changed, except the buttons on the camera have moved about and are now less easy to use.
